Taveners Liquorice Comfits Sweets formally made/branded as Pascalls Licorice Comits
These sweets are a smaller much thinner version of the famous Liquorice Torpedoes again and originally from Pascall but now re-branded under the Taverners Proper Sweets label.
Liquorice comfits are small thin strips/pieces of soft to medium texture tasty licorice in-cased in a medium texture crunchy crispy shell colours vary per batch but usually include a random mixture of speckled colours which are orange, Green, Red, White, Yellow, Pink and sometimes purple.
Colours/shades do vary per batch.
Liquorice Comfits are sugar coated liquorice pieces and are approx. 2.5cm to 3cm in length.
Once made by Pascall Sweets then re-branded under the Taveners Banner which is now taken over by British sweets manufacturer Tangerine confectionery.
Ingredients (correct at time of listing July 2011)
Ingredients: Sugar, wheat flour, treacle, glucose syrup, modified tapioca starch, liquorice extract, Natural colours (calcium Carbonate, Anthocyanins, Mixed Carotenes, Curcumin), Maltodextrin,Vegetable Oil,
cochineal, beta carotene, flavouring, glazing agent (carnauba wax)
Natural Flavouring Spirulina, Aniseed Oil
Allergen Information: contains Wheat and Gluten
Natural Colours: contains only Natural Colours and Flavours
Store in a cool dry place.
BB4 Dates usually 3-6months if not longer.
