Taveners Treacle Toffee sweets are a hard almost square shaped chunk of dark brown traditional fresh treacle toffee sweets they used to be made by Sharps of York but were taken over a few years back by the Tangerine Company who re branded them under the Taveners Proper Sweets Range and slightly changed the ingredients to remove artificial colours and flavours and improve the quality of their sweets range - now individually wrapped in a dark purple coloured wrappers and not the golden coloured wrappers once used by Sharpe's of York - still a very popular traditional retro wrapped Treacle Toffee sweets.
